The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.
Here’s an excerpt:
About 55,000 tourists visit Liechtenstein every year. This blog was viewed about 790,000 times in 2012. If it were Liechtenstein, it would take about 14 years for that many people to see it. Your blog had more visits than a small country in Europe!

Was going to write a new year post, but WordPress offered me this summary that seemed to say it all.
Thanks everyone for visiting and reading and comment and arguing, and a very happy new year to you all.

Great stats ! Seems ‘Neethanae En Pon Vasantham’ review that you posted in the last month of 2012 has got more page views than all other posts of 2012.That is fascinating 🙂 I think a lot of people came here to read other side of the story or what the director actually intended to show case. And as some one said, ‘Rangan gave a glowing review, let’s see what it is’ 🙂
Between am quite intrigued that quite few people who searched for ‘dr ahmadi assassination’ keyword landed on your blog . Wondering what it is all about 🙂
Looking for many more posts in 2013. Happy New Year to you as well !

Top 2 views for you in 2012:
1. I call it Raja genre
2. Nee Dhaane En pon vasantham
Clearly, if views can be monetized, you know what to write more of 🙂

Thanks all. But actually, I’m not sure how to read these numbers without comparative statistics. My guess is that these are decent numbers for a blog with a specialised focus (as opposed to a general interest blog which more people will find interesting; eg. riffs on trends and family and current events).
At least one thing makes me happy. For all the periodic complaints about (supposedly) tough language and inordinate length of posts, there are readers for this sort of thing 🙂
