The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2014 annual report for this blog.
Here’s an excerpt:
The Louvre Museum has 8.5 million visitors per year. This blog was viewed about 1,400,000 times in 2014. If it were an exhibit at the Louvre Museum, it would take about 60 days for that many people to see it.

Am I the only one who finds WordPress websites to be bloated and slow to load?

Not surprised to find Rahini David among the top commenters. BR’s blog is Rahini’s Facebook 😛

After 2 years in the Top 5 I’ve dropped out this year hahahaha 🙂
But it’s been equally fun and illuminating just being a reader (of the posts and comments)
Here’s wishing you a tremendous 2015 and great posts (no pressure) with equally insighful comments by all!

This year will go down as special for me personally. Came to India after 14 years and met BR and the rest of the folks. What an absolute pleasure.
Happy New Year to all.

@TheKormentor- On mobile, they are exceptionally slow to load. You want to jump directly to a particular comment from mobile? Absolutely forget it!

Nice, interesting stats!
I think in terms of content, insights and wit, your best write-up of 2014 was your review of Jigarthanda. The way you described the tightrope walk was terrific!
Of all the comments that I’ve seen on the blog, my favs will have to be Ashutosh’s and Rahini’s. Every time I read Ashutosh’s comments, I think of how Raju would marvel at Madan’s English in MMKR – “Thool yaa…idhelaam ipdi varrathaan ille!”

BR: Wow. Almost doubled since 2012. That is awesome.
TheKomentor: I was very surprised to see my name in the Top 5. I mean I am not a cinephile at all. I only come here for the fun of reading itself. I only hope it was as great a year for Indian Cinema as it was for the blog. 🙂

BR, first of all, I’d like to wish you and your family a very HAPPY AND PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR!! I hope this blog continues to grow and you keep up your fabulous work. I’ll forever remember your review of Anjaan, which brought me here in the first place!! Hope to be more involved henceforth and put across my two-cents worth of movie ‘gyan’. I hope to have the pleasure to meet you one day, and if your reviews are anything to go by, it would indeed be a riot as well as immensely educative as well!!

Udhaysankar, that is awewome news…even though the trailer was a little blah for me, am still looking fwd to this movie given the strong team. Aaranya Kaandam was such a kickass debut that anything TK does next -be it co author or direct- will be keenly awaited..
