The first look is out for Kalki, a short film I wrote for director Dhilip Kumar, based on a premise he had in mind. It stars Kishore and Yasmin Ponnappa, and though I wasn’t present for all stages of post-production, it was a special thrill to work with Sreekar Prasad in his editing room, pacing about, deciding whether to stick to the screenplay or “rewrite” the film at this stage.
Will provide updates about which platform this will be available on, etc., as and when I get more information.

How wonderful, congratulations! Will it be weird having your own work put under the scrutiny by some other reviewer?

surprised that you have still not given your take on the jallikattu protests. like you did for the ‘playing national anthem in cinema halls’ scenario.

Really? I think I have pretty average benchmarks if you’re talking just about something that “satisfies.” It’s more like I refuse to have low benchmarks.

brangan, what is your take on how an aspiring screenplay writer should train herself/himself? Did you read any book to get started on learning the craft?

BR : I recall you’d written a movie script prior to this one and you mentioned that it was a scary experience – not the scripting but being part of the process with all the stakeholders

Life was simpler when you weren’t so frequent at watching the latest Malayalam films. Now we keep craving for more, more and even more!
Now what about some of the better works of 2016, like Maheshinte Prathikaaam, huh?
