Thank you @BR. This is a fantastic interview. Your structure comes together well with Balaji Tharaneetharan, who just gets it, is great as an interviewee. He understands every question in its spirit and articulates to the point. He is critical of himself, contextualize his choices, and bring out the romance of his approach to films. His approach is refreshingly earnest and light-hearted. I loved how he finished by saying there is more to life than films and when you ask what those things are, he says, I like to simply do nothing sometimes. I felt as good as the first time I saw NKPK.

wonderful interview! Balaji was so thoughtful in his responses and none of it felt like pre-packaged answers…It was a pleasure and hope his next film succeeds so we have more distinct voices

There is something very Vijay Sethupathi-ish in the mature and measured way he answers BR’s questions. Perhaps, friends do influence each other after all!
