Having said that, I am curious why you would be doing in-person interviews (and that too without masks and physical distancing). From the interviews you have done so far, the virtual ones were as good as the in-person ones and also got a good number of views. Given the pandemic, is it not safer to stick to online ones? Lokesh Kanakaraj, for instance, is doing a 100 in-person interviews and as a former COVID healthcare worker, I shudder to think what would happen if one of them has COVID and passes it on. And it bothers me that this is a perfectly avoidable scenario and totally not necessary. In the earlier days, at least people would wear masks in the interviews if they do it in-person, but where is all that gone now!
Enna koduka sir pera: Short answer. No one cares anymore. They’re sick of COVID (even if they’ve not actually become sick BY it). They’re sick of hearing about it, inconveniencing themselves for it… And most of them do not seem to realise it is actually a serious problem.
So I asked a filmmaker who was going on a risky shoot whether it was wise. (It’s a very very prestigious banner.) He said, “The choice is between losing this film and hindering my career and the POSSIBILITY of being infected.”
Sir, is the program is on Jan 14th or 15th? I have seen in one of the website, it’s going to telecast on Jan 15th. If yes, can you please update it in the post, so no one misses it.
Thanks for the reply, BR. It is a tough situation indeed. I understand that it cannot be avoided for shooting movies, but the in-person media interviews of these film personalities is something that can be avoided.
Also, I feel sorry that you had to go into a 100% occupancy theatre show for Master, especially given that you just recovered from COVID 😦
Enna koduka sir pera: So a friend bought out a show in a small PVR hall and we were only about 25 or so in a 100-seater. It meant that our individual ticket costs went up, but that’s preferable… I was the only one in my row, which is my favourite way to watch a movie 😀
Also the corporates are pretty strict about enforcing the 50% rule. It’s only the mofussil theatres, etc, that can’t be controlled.

His choice was clear.
