I really liked the segment where he dissects those 5 films and gives a clear explanation on why they worked very well commercially.

To Baradwaj,
I would’ve appreciated it even more if you went into the casting process of how he selected the heroes for his films and whether he missed out on his first choice actor for any of them.
Eg: I heard that Jr. NTR was his first choice for Raja the Great but it didn’t work out. Could’ve asked him more about such stuff.

What is going on in your mind exactly when interviewing these blockbuster directors ?
Since I just got done with your book on mani ratnam …….where you mention climbing all those stairs up to the top floor of madras talkies ….. like Moses climbing mount sinai to get the Ten Commandments from god himself !
These directors don’t give us any insight into what they do and you being a national award film critic and all that ,it hurts to see you question these blah blah blah directors … who basically stole a whole generation of telugu film viewers with their idiotic films.
…… anyway you being like Oprah Winfrey always ask sensible questions …. That set Oprah apart from the rest of the talk shows .
Anyway ….. what are you actually thinking , I mean seriously .
