Conversations about Toxic positivity and vulnerability were the last things I expected from Two leads in a Tamil film, This made me wish for more women writers in the industry. On the other hand, I was shocked by Balaji Mohan’s underwhelming segment. He has made such good from coms and this was so generic that I couldn’t believe it was his work.

Wow. Balaji Mohan seems to be on a downward spiral at this point.

You liked the Nallathangal segment? I found it oh so boring?
The entire series was pretty uninteresting actually.

Loners is what an un-fake Guitar Kambi would have been.
A great progression for Tamil. It’s almost shocking to view organic development of relationships given what we’re used to. It deserved better music though!
In Balaji Mohan’s short, the segments of hero falling in love were super lame. He seems to have ripped it straight out of Surya’s playbook in Vaaranam Aayiram and plays it with the usual dumbstruck mesmerized expressions that pass for love in Tamil cinema. That’s not really how real people fall in love and our actors really need to learn how to convey love on screen in new, un-cliched ways.
