Loved the way he answered the last question.
Interesting format. I presume you will vary the questions in upcoming interviews of this format.

The interview was good.
Since you are asking opinions about the format, I think you avoid this format. If you are restricting to 10 mins, it is still fine, you don’t have to squeeze in, or, restrict yourself to x number of questions. And having viewed some of your older interviews, you have some great follow up questions based on the interviewee’s responses, and those will get missed out here because of premeditated questions. You can hire someone else to do these kind of questions, this format doesn’t require you. Especially, questions like what would you be if you didn’t come to cinema, one film you wish you were part of etc.
I understand short videos attract more views . You could make an interview that is detailed, and then make smaller edited videos for individual questions or a subset of questions.

It’s no wonder that Ben-Hur is his favorite film. It’s truly a great great great masala drama, complete with friends turned foes, suffering mother and sister, a lover\wife who supports the hero through thick and thin, a hero who goes on a journey of revenge and redemption, and even a Muslim friend who helps out the hero, all culminating in the greatest masala sequence of all time: the chariot race; not to mention divine intervention curing the mother and daughter of leprosy, Manmohan Desai style.

Bala: I am a little confused on the “you have some great follow up questions based on the interviewee’s responses, and those will get missed out here because of premeditated question”
I assume BR will have the usual long interviews and at the end record this too and post them separately. He would not be meeting anyone just to ask 10 set in stone questions, no?
BR: Am I right in assuming that that is the plan?

while these longer interviews always revolve around the next release and meant to coincide with promos, maybe the short questions section could instead be say a Proust questionnaire adapted for videos format and meant to reveal more about the maker..

Rahini: But don’t you see that already on the site? There’s a “proper” Rajamouli interview that came a couple of days ago.

@rahini, yeah i understand. May be it’s just a bonus of 10 more questions to the usual interviews, in which case, the more the merrier. (Even then, would prefer bonus 10 mins without strict 10 question format)
From BR’s tweet, it felt like he might switch to this format if it turns out to be successful (I interpreted it like that, he didn’t say so).
