Director sir, we know it’s not meant to be taken seriously YET the movie was bad overall. However way we watch it, the movie was lacking. Had you incorporated the missing elements mentioned by BR (i.e., showing the ladies resentment towards Vijay Sethu for cheating them, their strong affection towards him etc) it might have worked to a certain extent. Movie seems outdated with some scenes appearing caricature. To me, this movie seems like the epitome of everything being forced especially the ladies acting (as if they’re trying too hard).
You’re saying you expected claps and cheers here and there and the audience reactions met your expectations. By setting such low bar, I’m not surprised why you are content with this half baked movie. A strong request, please don’t show Kala’ka as a teenager, lol

I find it refreshing that Vignesh Shivan comes out and says he doesn’t know much about feminism or sexism and that he’s made this film with the maturity he currently has. I didn’t find the film to be problematic as most people on the internet have. Most people have said VS character is two-timing here but I did not think he was two-timing at all. In fact, when he realized both of them have fallen for him, he wants to just step back and disappear because he loved them both equally and doesn’t want to choose one girl over the other. VS plays the character with an innocence that makes you empathize with him. He doesn’t set out to cheat or take advantage of them in any way. We don’t want politically correct characters or films all the time. Was the film perfect? Not at all. But it was fairly enjoyable and the laughs kept coming.
