If campaigning can bring oscar voters to watch the movie then is it possible to just do the campaigning in the US and not a (wide) release in home country and yet vie for the oscars?

@ramit I believe it used to be enough to release in a select few Los Angeles area theaters, and nowhere else. That rule was relaxed during the pandemic, and I think it stays relaxed.

Like ‘cracking IIT’ and ‘cracking FAANG interviews’, now telugu guys have understood the process of ‘cracking the Oscars’. Now, there’s no stopping telugu movies from flooding the oscars 😀
