The research that the director has put to make the milieu feel authentic and the fact that he was able to do a historical fiction movie with a small budget is simply fantastic.
Happy to know that this movie is doing really well and is receiving positive reception.

I watched this movie the previous Sunday and despite having initial issues on finding who’s who which I later got and my confusion on who’s the real hero , I liked this movie , a decent watch.

Nice to see a new film maker putting so much effort on research and doing something unique. The prep work that has preceded the shoot sounds amazing. His point about how all wars are abt power and it’s impact on ordinary people sounds so relevant.

Very interesting discussion and the director seemed to have approached Kings and War from a different PoV, pursuit of power. Makes sense when we study the impact of various wars in the last 100 years, but when it came to kings, it was termed as rajadharmam in our culture and even in other cultures where bravery in war is celebrated as duty and nobility as well

It’s great to see directors with distinctly Tamil sensibilities emerge, unlike most of the current crop suffering from a Hollywood overdose.
