14:10 – I have no complaints..I want him (director) to surge ahead.
Kalki is Santhosh’s 50th Movie. His first PAN-Indian movie, with some of the biggest stars of this country. Then, why he is not “sounding” euphoric? This interview reminds me of Selvaraghavan’s interview before NGK.

AMC cancelled my booking for today’s show. WTF !!!! Apparently the Telgu version is still releasing today but the Hindi version will now release tomorrow.
Not a good sign.

Rocky, I assume you are in the US as well. I booked Friday evening tickets at an AMC theater, and so far, those are the only tickets booked for that screening. Screenings at other times and theaters are also sparsely booked. Tonight’s 8:30pm show at another theater chain about 40 minutes away is pretty packed, but I did not want to pay $30 to see it tonight.
The area I’m in has a big enough Indian population for some theaters to book the big Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi films, but nothing like the population of places like Houston or New Jersey. I can’t take my own experience as indicative of a film’s popularity. I saw RRR the Saturday after it opened with around 10 people in the theater. But I’ve also seen movies on Friday that were packed. I guess in my area the big Indian movies are highly front-loaded for opening day, then fall off quickly.

Thanks Prem . yes, generally the Telegu movies first few days are pretty expensive.
The I-Max is $35 and is pretty packed for the 6pm show.
I think they must have realized that Hindi audience will not pay the premium and have therefore taken it out for today.
Also – no passes or A-list is allowed for any version of the movie.
