Thanks Man for taking time to write. I’m dropping my relative at the airport today to travel to Chennai. Is it possible for him to get an autographed book from you? So, he can bring the book back to USA for me. He is the one brought the conversation book for me last year. Would like to get autograph from Mr. Mani Ratnam too, two years senior to me at Besant High school.
Your next book should be, 100 best movies of 2014 in whatever language. Thanks for introducing me to Bangalore Days movie.
g muthu: Sure, I’d be happy to sign a copy.
Hi B Rangan,
I am Sivaramasubbu, a film enthusiast. I follow your blog regularly. I am always curious about your perception on movies. I would like to attend the book release function with my friend. Could you please send me invitation for two persons to mail ids
Great news, BR. But I unfortunately am not making a trip to Chennai this December. Hope to visit next year and meet you in person. Best of luck for the launch.

I am Jayaram Balasubramanian, from Coimbatore working in Chennai for an IT concern.
I know it’s quite silly for me to ask for an invite to your book launch, but I am requesting for it.
I’m a big fan of your Conversations with Mr.Mani Ratnam., you helped me know a lot about Mr.Mani Rantam and your reviews for movies Aranya Kandam, Sivaji and your take on Kandaswamy.
Also hoping I could meet, at least see Mr.Mani Ratnam during the launch.
Regards, Jayaram Balasubramanian

Thank you Sir. We are very happy to take part in “The Launch”
How I wish I could come along! Sadly I am not in Chennai until February but I wish you all the very best for your book launch. My copy from Amazon is (hopefully) on it’s way to me in Australia!

In India, but unfortunately not in Chennai. Your book, however, has been pre-ordered and will, hopefully, show up before I have to return to the US.
It would be pleasure to come but then sadly my curfew is at 8:00 PM…but would try to squeeze in with a friend if possible!!!!
I know this may sound cheesy but i see movies in new light, after i started reading your blog…..I am also more drawn towards literature these day and i like to think its more due to your approach to movies
I will contact Ms Jayanthi if i can squeeze in the permission….
I watched Notting Hill after its mention in your blog and few times and now have become a sucker for chick flicks….(may be i should be ashamed..but I am not!!!!)
Would love join you on The Launch it would be pleasure to know (in person) a person who has inspired me …..
My sincere wished to you Sir!!!
meera: Oh, we thought it would make things more interesting to have someone from an allied art, and we talk about criticism and stuff. Broadens the discussion a bit. Plus, it’s Music Season and all…

Update about the launch event tonight. Bombay Jayashri, who was supposed to launch the book and be in conversation with me, is unwell and might not be able to make it.
Still, hope to see some of you there 🙂
