Haven’t seen the review yet (very slow net here right now), but despite the actors, and the atmosphere (what was that bit with opera music towards the end all about?) the movie had such a poor plot.

The writer does not know the main switch in his own house?
If the writer were the killer, why would he lead the thief into the basement ? His girlfriend, smart lawyer as she is, should have figured that out like we did.
What was that number that fell out?
How does one explain all those engagement rings?
Like someone said, the most important source of tension in the movie was worrying if their parked car was blocking the road. And that said, wouldn’t the car on the road have lead someone to the bodies before they putrified (as was said in the newspaper in the end).
SPOILERS:
For once there was a Malayalam movie on Netflix and even though this is not my favourite genre I decided to watch, and I liked it, mostly because it was a bit different, and was made with some art. (They make Kochi or whichever Kerala city look like a really shiny, happy, hip place merely by shooting over all the garbage on the roads.) The three actors are also great to watch, even in something as meaningless as a serial killer thriller. The tension of deciding who was the killer was also maintained well, though of course the car blocking the road was more nerve wracking, lol. They do this on purpose, right? Like shoes on the beds in American movies, or front doors not closed?
Towards the end when this smart young lawyer girl started to do the typical damsel in distress act instead of just leaving, and all the loose threads mentioned above did not get tied up, I fell out of love.
Have to agree with BR, all the character details in the beginning did not add up to much. For example Soubin is shown as a fit cyclist… does this set up lead to anything? Instead he could have been shown as a practical joker, then the creepy surprise planned for his girlfriend would have made sense. Five writers, and not one thought to give these characters anything intelligent to do? I do get Fahad Faasil’s character, he was there because he was a literary critic who just could not take his motivation not being appreciated. But he knew the writer and when he showed up he still continued the act of pretending it was his house, though they both knew who was the intruder.
@tonks The writer does not know the main switch in his own house?
He knew, he went straight there, but he had to pretend not to know to keep up the act for his girlfriend.

Top comment on the video (as of current time): “Mouth-watering movie critic”.

How come no text review? Will it come later or is this a new paradigm?

I’d be wary. Dr. Lecter’s critics didn’t meet with a happy ending.

Due to the sheer increase in releases, I’ll do text + video for some. Only video for others.
