Is it only me who thinks that Wamiqa’s looks , her lines that featured in the trailer and her dubbing voice resembles the Samantha character from Super Deluxe?
I wouldn’t be surprised if Kumararaja shows that Wamiqa indeed is playing the younger version of the Vembu character and tells the story of the rascal who she banged to death and how she ended up with Mugil , the Fahadh character..
@hari prasad – Unrelated side note – the voice-over artist for Wamiqa is Shivani Panneerselvan who has sung a couple of songs in the album (really well).
I thought Nadodi Thendral was the last collaboration between Bharatiraja and Raja….
Must have caused lot of pain for directors to move out – some last collaborations include Thalapathi, Puthu Puthu Arthangal, Idayam…
Thank for for this and thank you for bringing up his editing pattern. I wish you had more time to talk about his framing, composition and lighting choices. He broke new ground in Tamil cinema.

Great to see you interview a man whom you looked up to during your 16 Vayathinile…
I thought Poo Malarndhida from Tik Tik Tik was ur fav song from the Raja’s combo?
Didn’t know you were a bigger fan of that Naadodi Thendral song..

And that’s not the only good song that has been edited out of a Bharatiraja movie. Imagine leaving out Puthum Puthu Kaalai..
That’s like leaving Chinna Chinna Aasai out..
